Palmax Launch the New PD-1000 Mini-Notebook Using the Cyrix MediaGX? Processor

Hong Kong -- July 10, 1998 -- Palmax, the leading manufacturer of PDAs (personal digital assistants) in Taiwan, today announced its new mini-notebook Palmax PD-1000, which adopts Cyrix's MediaGX™ processor. Weighing only 2lbs, the Palmax PD-1000 incorporates powerful and advanced notebook technology in its design, including Pentium?equivalent Cyrix MediaGX™ processor. The Palmax PD-1000 features an intuitive Touchscreen for Pen Computing available for handwriting input, giving the user unparalleled convenience in operation. The PD-1000 incorporates the industry-standard Microsoft Windows® 95/98 system, with high-speed disk drive, EDO DRAM, and a 6.1 inch inductive LCD display.
