New Release Nintendo DSi
Nintendo DSi Black in box
The DSi's Two Digital Cameras
The most noticeable feature of the slim Nintendo DSi system are its two cameras - one camera is situated on the external body pointing away from the user, and the second one points at the user when the device is flipped open. As the first truly interactive digital camera in a video game system, the DSi Cameras feature 10 different interactive "lenses" that can manipulate your photos, offering an easy way to take and share your photos with family and friends. The cameras also present people with unprecedented ways to interact with their games, and in the process provide developers with a new tool to devise creative games and experiences. If the touch screen gave Nintendo DS a sense of feel and the microphone allowed it to hear, the two cameras give Nintendo DSi the sense of sight.
DSi Sound
Another enhanced feature is the Nintendo DSi Sound application, which serves as both an interactive voice recorder and music player that allows users to play with their music while they listen to it. Users can access different audio filters or control the pitch and speed of recorded voice or music files to alter voices or change the tempo of a song. The mic is located between the two screens when the device is flipped open, and there is also a stereo headphone output that lets users listen to music saved on an SD card, even with the screen shut.
The DSiWare
In the world of software, Nintendo DSi will be the platform for the most relevant and fun on-the-go games and applications. The Nintendo DSiWare application will populate Nintendo DSi with software that can be downloaded using Nintendo DSi Points directly to the portable system, just as WiiWare has with Nintendo's Wii console. Developers big and small are invited to create software that makes use of the properties and functions of the hardware. Nintendo DSiWare games and applications will be available at a range of values, starting at 200 points.

ONE FINGER MOUSE, USB, BLACK

ONE FINGER MOUSE does take some getting used to laptopp, you must teach your self to use it.You also do not hold it as in the picture.ONE FINGER MOUSE Correct way to hold it is with your middle finger thru the center, using your thumb for the track ball and your middle finger for the center button which you should set up as your right click. ONE FINGER MOUSE works equally well right or left handed.

The genius of the original plan has resulted in the new version - which for the very portable cool efficiently, as it was to be done with or without blocking critical airflow in the event that your laptop fan pattern is the port on the upper right corner of the Xpad, the lower edges well feel more comfortable sitting in the back, and a design of starcraft.
The Zypad WL 1000

electronic gadget would appear that Parvus is ready for this coming era with the development of
The Zypad WL 1000. As you can see, this PWC does look a little bulky, but you have to give the company credit for trying something that will probably be the future.
The Zypad WL 1000 has a 3.5 inch touchscreen with 640 x 480 resolution. The screen comes with an automatic contrast mode that allows it to be used, even in the direct sunlight.
Dell Inspiron mini 9 - Black

The Dell Mini 9 will handle 2GB of RAM, but it can only be shipped with up to 1GB because of the software license with Windows XP. Thank you Miscrosoft for another slap in the face! I mean, anything's better than getting a machine with Vista on it, but REALLY. Dell also put the RAM cap on the Mini9s with Ubuntu, which really makes no sense. Anyway, it's nothing to pop open the cover, put in your extra GB of RAM, close it, and have the zippiest little netbook around. (I think it will handle a 4GB stick, but then you're looking at power and heat issues.) When you turn it on, it's ready to go in no time, even without a memory upgrade! Also, decompress the drive. Compression doesn't save that much space and it runs better. If hard drive space is an issue, add an external drive, thumb drive or SD card.
It doesn't come with a DVD drive, but how often do you really use one? I only use mine to install software and to rip my CDs to iTunes. I don't do either of those things when I'm out and about, and remember, it's all about that portability! Eventually you will need to buy a DVD drive, but you might not need one right away. Also plan on investing in an external mouse if you don't like touchpads. This one is particularly irritating because it's so small. I can't really comment on how this or anything else affects battery life, since I rarely run on the battery. The speakers are really small, so have some headphones on hand if sound is a problem for you.

Apple Begins to Ship 17-inch MacBook Pros

The new 17-inch Pro features a thinner and lighter design than before. Apple billed it as the world's thinnest and lightest 17-inch laptop when it debuted the new machine last month; it weighs 6.6 pounds and measures less than one inch high with the lid closed. Its price remains the same as before, starting at US$2,799.
Apple delayed shipment of the new 17-inch Macbook Pro after initially indicating the new model would be released by the end of January. "... we now expect to begin shipments in mid-February," an Apple spokesman told Macworld when confirming the delay.
The new 17-inch features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor clocked at 2.66GHz, 4GB of RAM standard, Nvidia GeForce 9400M graphics on the motherboard with GeForce 9600MT dedicated graphics as well, a 320GB hard disk drive and DVD-burning SuperDrive.
The updated 17-inch model sports a 1920-by-1200-pixel LED-backlit display and Mini DisplayPort, for connecting an external monitor such as Apple's LED Cinema Display (). It retains a FireWire 800 port, and has three USB 2.0 ports, an ExpressCard/34 slot, and a Gigabit Ethernet port.
Unlike past models, the redesigned 17-inch MacBook Pro does not have a removable battery--it's built in. Apple says the redesigned battery is 40 percent bigger than the previous generation model, and can last for up to eight hours per charge. What's more, Apple also claims the battery can be recharged up to 1000 times, compared to 200 or 300 times for a typical notebook battery

New JVC Camcorders

Victor Company of Japan Ltd., better known as JVC, has recently introduced two new models of High Definition camcorders - the GZ-HD320 and the GZ-HD300, further expanding its Everio HDD camcorder series. Thanks to the advancement in miniaturization and electronics, both camcorders now sport a lighter and more compact body without sacrificing on performance. These new camcorders are pocket friendly (unless you have really, really small pockets, that is), measuring 53mm x 68mm x 113mm and tipping the scales at 325g. Their size is in fact similar to that of the GZ-MG330, also from JVC, despite it being a mere Standard Definition camcorder unlike these two that support High Definition recording.
Just how did JVC manage to shrink down their new camcorders? Well, they surely didn’t have the shrinking ray gun as seen in “Honey, I shrunk the kids”, but they relied on a couple of improvements instead. Firstly, the zoom lens were developed in collaboration with Konica Minolta Opto Inc., where the lens’ layout was revised by reducing its diameter so that high resolution images can be supported. Just for comparison’s sake, the lens volume has been reduced by as much as 40% compared to JVC’s existing HD camcorder, the GZ-HD40.

Garmin nüvi 760 4.3-Inch Navigate to Starting Point

Garmin nüvi 760 4.3-Inch There have been concerns expressed in various forums on the sensitivity of the internal antenna. So far, it seems to be sensitive enough. Side by side, signal strength and accuracy of the 760 are maginally better than my old 360with the pop-up antenna.
Garmin offers a full line of products in various models and styles. As one of the leading manufacturers of this product, they provide quality across the board. There are other brands available as well. Brand should not be what you are looking for, though, as you want quality in the battery life, the weight of the unit and the control placement as well.
Various Features
GPS units offer various features. Some of them are waterproof, which can be very helpful when you are traveling over rivers or find yourself in the rain unexpectedly. You will find another distinction in the different numbers of waypoints that the units have. A waypoint is actually a term that is used for terrestrial coordinates. This is the longitude and latitude as well as altitude of your location. In some GPS units, the term waypoint actually means something different and is used to describe the number of landmarks that are found on the display of your unit. This varies based on the type of map that you have loaded into the unit as well as the unit itself. While more seems to be better here, it can also be distracting and overbearing.

Fujitsu and Sun SPARC Enterprise T5440 Server Redefines Midrange Enterprise Computing with Industry-leading Price Points, Power Management and Multipl

SPARC Enterprise T5440
Fujitsu Limited (TSE: 6702) and Sun Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ: JAVA) today announced the SPARC® Enterprise T5440 server, the first server to deliver the scalability and reliability of traditional midrange systems with the breakthrough performance and radical energy efficiency of the UltraSPARC® T2 Plus architecture
While competitive systems from IBM and HP cost as much as 80 percent more or deliver as little as 1/4 the performance, the SPARC Enterprise T5440 server with the Solaris™ 10 Operating System (OS) delivers world-record performance and enables customers to consolidate and virtualize midrange applications, including large-scale OLTP databases, CRM and ERP. In a compact 4U package, the SPARC Enterprise T5440 server increases server utilization while reducing energy consumption and lowering operating costs. Additionally, the SPARC Enterprise T5440 server is the first chip multi-threaded (CMT) server to scale up to four processors.
"The new SPARC Enterprise server delivers the vast scalability of 256 compute threads in just a four-RU chassis," said Masami Yamamoto, corporate senior vice president of Fujitsu. "With the addition of the SPARC Enterprise T5440 server, we will be able to further address the needs of customers who are looking to enhance the performance of their datacenters while gaining the benefits of energy efficiency, consolidation and virtualization."
"Sun is dramatically changing IT economics and delivering enormous value to the midrange market that could not come at a more critical time," said John Fowler, executive vice president, Systems Group, Sun Microsystems. "The SPARC Enterprise T5440 server offers incredible performance on a completely different curve in a footprint that's half the size of the competition. For customers, it all comes down to faster, smaller, greener, better."
Energy Efficiency Engineered from the Ground Up; Open Source, No-cost Virtualization Built In
The SPARC Enterprise T5440 server, with up to 32 cores (256 threads) and 512 GB of memory, is one of the first systems to incorporate unique power management features including the ability to park idle threads. The server also features Intelligent Fan Control (IFC), which adjusts rotational fan speed according to changes in temperature, thereby reducing power consumption. Running fans at lower speeds saves significant amounts of energy, and also reduces noise and vibration, which helps extend component life. An additional design element that maximizes power savings is dividing the chassis and fans into cooling zones which allow a response only from those fans needed to compensate for changes in temperature. The SPARC Enterprise T5440 server also features a redesigned power distribution subsystem with highly efficient digital regulators which reduce wasted energy over previous analog designs.
With built-in, open source, no-cost virtualization via Solaris Containers and Logical Domains (LDoms), the SPARC Enterprise T5440 server is an ideal platform for consolidating hundreds of existing enterprise class workloads onto a single system. Additionally, for existing Solaris customers, the Solaris 8 and 9 Containers capability enables customers to run multiple Solaris 8 or 9 environments on a single SPARC-based system. As a result, customers can quickly and easily move existing physical environments to virtual containers on Solaris 10 and take advantage of the performance, scale and cost savings of new SPARC Enterprise CMT-based servers today. Solaris 10 10/08, to be released later in October, also enables improved virtualization performance and includes an enhanced Solaris ZFS file system which offers increased data integrity and a fully integrated disaster recovery capability to help ensure business continuity.www.fujitsu.com
